As busy and crazy as life has been lately, it's been oh so good. Yes, every single weekend this month has been accounted for and has taken me all over the place lately, but these plans excite me. These plans, I look forward to. It's fun and love and family and music and dancing and happiness. Yes, it's happiness.
Days blur together and weekends come and go so quickly that I find it hard to keep up. But along the way, I'm smiling. I'm laughing and capturing these moments on camera. Although, I'm also surprised at the lack of pictures I've taken recently. Although I'm soaking up so much time with friends and family, I've really made an effort to just live in the moment and enjoy it instead of worrying about capturing the moment on film for all of eternity. I'm LIVING, and I really can't ask for much more than that, can I?
Life currently is also still in an adjustment phase. Although, I guess it's always changing and we're always adjusting...but where I am now is temporary. Whether it be a few weeks, a few months, or a few years, there's an endpoint. And while I'm in this moment, I'm soaking it all in. I'm in awe of the busy-ness. I'm astounded at the wishful slumber I dream of during the day. I am spending time with my people, and it's amazing. God has allowed this time in my life to spend more time with my family, and I'll forever be thankful. As tired and worn out as I may be, I'm thankful.
So, while I'm being busy and soaking in the extra family time, I'm working on trying to stay organized. I'm trying to keep treading water and find time for the things that I love - the things that I truly enjoy doing. Like blogging. And reading. And working on my photography. These things will come in time. I'm still not really in a routine, although I've been home for two months now, but I'm taking it day by day, week by week, and just rolling with it.
How do you adjust to a new and unexpected phase in your life?
