It's the last Wednesday of the month, and that means it's time for "What's up Wednesday" with ShayShaeffer, and Mel! Every month, everyone links up and answers the following questions to see what's going on in people's lives. It's a check-in of sorts and something that's fun to look back on to see what life was like month by month.

What we're eating this week...
Juice! I've really missed juicing since moving back home and this week, I'm hitting up Jamba Juice for lunch every day to get my fix. It's cheaper than a typical lunch and I don't have to keep up with the fruits & veggies or do any of the work!

What I'm reminiscing about...
My old apartment when I lived alone after getting divorced. I know I'm in a great place right now, but I often think about my time there. My parents were absolutely amazing and helped me make it my own, and it truly was my own space. Everything about it was ME and I really loved it. It was great for the year I was there!

What I'm loving...
My new work schedule. 4-day work weeks FOR THE WIN! Seriously. It's amazing to have a three-day weekend every.single.weekend. :)

What we've been up to...
Nothing super fantastic, just the way I like it! No major plans or big to-do's and I'm really enjoying the down time after being so freakin' busy this summer. I'll take it :). I like the lazy days of summer - you know, the ones where you can just spend hours on hours watching movies and not feel guilty about it in the least!

What I'm dreading...
"Balancing the checkbook." Although I don't actually have a checkbook, I have an excel spreadsheet of my budget and expenses and I need to balance it all out. I'm aware of how much money I have and everything, but I just dread updating it. Always.

What I'm working on...
Consistency. Without a routine, I was feeling way unbalanced and pretty chaotic. I'm slowly putting routine back into my life and shaping it into something that works for me. With that includes blogging, bible study, time with family & Cory, and "me time". It's a work in progress, but I'm happy with where I am right now, so that's a start!

What I'm excited about...
Pay day! I only get paid once a month (government employee for the win!), so the end of the month gets tight and that paycheck hitting my bank account on the first gives me great joy.

What I'm watching/reading...
I've been reading like crazy and recently posted about my July reads. Go check it out and see if I met my monthly goal or not! I've also been catching up on The Last Ship and am obsessed. Seriously, if you haven't jumped on that bandwagon then I strongly suggest you get right to it!

What I'm listening to...
3 Doors Down. Sometimes, a girl's gotta jam.

What I'm wearing...
Lots of skirts and dresses. It's HOT here in Texas during the summer, and this year is no different. I'm over it and totally ready for fall!

What I'm doing this weekend...
Absolutely NOTHING. And I couldn't be more thrilled! Seriously, I have zero plans this weekend, while the rest of our town will be hitting up the annual festival in 100+ degree heat and sweating their faces off, I'll be inside, in air conditioning, reading or watching tv or napping or doing whatever the heck I want! And it's going to be glorious.

What I'm looking forward to next month...
Normalcy. My brother's wedding is now in the past, and they'll (hopefully) be moved into the new house very soon, and I'm ready for things to just calm down. Seriously.

What else is new...
Not much, honestly. I'm finding my routine and am sticking with it. I drive to work, hang out with my sister, see Cory, spend weekends with him and family, work, sleep, eat, repeat. Again, I'm all about some normalcy right now and I'm loving it.

And the monthly bonus question:
What will you miss about summer?
NOTHING. I repeat, absolutely nothing. I'm over this heat and there were no "lazy days of summer" this year, so I'm just ready to jump into fall, all things pumpkin, and holiday shenanigans. Let's do it! Adios Summer. I'd say it's been fun, but well, I'm not a fan of you.

Im wearing lots of skirts and dresses too. But unfortunately it's because that's all that fit. Oh and my maternity jeans fit still haha. :-) Target has the cutest maxi skirts lately, so if youre in the market for anything new, go there! Of course, in general, Target rocks in just about every way possible!!!
