So, I’m a little late in posting Landon’s seven month update, but life, y’all. Life happened.
But here we are. Still kickin’ and getting by. And absolutely cherishing all the moments with our sweet SEVEN month-old baby boy!
Landon had kind of a big month! He got some quality time in with his Grammy Cramer while she visited TX for two weeks – and by “quality time” I mean it. She kept him the entire time, and I think they both got spoiled. Ha! Landon also spent some one-on-one time with his daddy this month. Cory works so unbelievably hard (all seven days of the week, every single week), and he agreed to watch Landon after work one evening so that mama could have a fun night out – and boy did she! ; ) I drank and gambled to my heart’s content (all for a good cause…well, the gambling anyway!) and sort of paid the price the next day. But it was good for us all – for me to have a night out and for Cory to spend some time with Landon on his own.
Landon also went to his first pumpkin patch, and he “celebrated” his first Halloween! I had zero intentions of actually trick or treating this year, so I got a pumpkin sleep and play outfit for this year’s costume, and we “trick or treated” at Grammy and Pops’ house! Landon definitely got some treats! He is in love with his new bath toys (that he enjoys more outside the bath than actually during bathtime) and some yummy teething wafers. Boy does he love those! So basically, he completely scored.
Thanks Grammy and Pops!
Landon weighs 23 pounds and is 28 inches tall. Sweet boy sure is growing like a weed! He is losing his baby face and is starting to really resemble a little boy – and my heart absolutely melts. Seriously. Some days I pick him up from daycare and cannot believe how much older he looks just from the 8 hours before when I dropped him off! His little personality is also really starting to show, and of course I’m obsessed. Have I mentioned that yet? I’M OBSESSED WITH MY SON. Ok, there – I’ve finally admitted it. But it’s true! I love him and cannot get enough of him. I didn’t experience these specific emotions and feelings the first few months of his life because I was strictly in survival mode, trying to figure out what was wrong with him and learn how to be a mom. Now that we’re starting to balance out, get in a routine, and Landon is more independent (because he sits up on his own and plays with his toys like a big boy!), I catch myself tearing up and just staring at him. Love, love, love me some Landon! Now I understand why people have more than one child, because in the first few months of his life, I truly questioned it. Seriously. And I also understood why some animals eat their young – parenthood isn’t for the faint of heart! But it’s so worth it.

Landon, you are the light of my life and I love you so fiercely. I pray that you continue growing big and strong and that you constantly feel the love that your daddy and I have for you. We simply cannot get enough of you, so thank goodness you’re ours to keep! We love you to the moon and back, Bubby!
