I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I’m kidding.

Last week was Thanksgiving. And there’s just SO MUCH that has been going on. At the same time, nothing has been going on and I’ve really enjoyed the downtime – to relax, spend quality time with family, laugh, refresh, and take in the little moments. I had every intention of getting back into the swing of things, getting organized again (someday, fingers crossed!), taking care of those pesky to-do lists, and then BAM!

I got sick.

For real.

I got hit with the flu hard this week, and I’m still trying to get over it and be healthy again. It’s a long road! And I must admit I forgot how hard it is to be sick and be alone. I got used to having a husband to take care of me and pick up medicines, gatorade, and soup when I was feeling under the weather. This time? I had to do it myself! I had to force myself out of my apartment and drive to the store for some essentials. However, I’m so glad I did, as exhausting as the trip was, because once I consistently took medication, I felt much, much better. Well, I felt like a human again, so that’s saying something!

I’m praying for healthier days ahead and a productive weekend. I tell ya, a week being so sick really takes a toll on an apartment. It pretty much looks like a tornado whipped through this place. It’s pretty awful! I need a week to get everything cleaned up haha. I know, I know…keep dreaming.
