It’s no secret that I am obsessed with Christmas. Seriously, I love anything and everything about it! Now, I’m not so completely obsessed that I celebrate Christmas in July or keep my decorations and lights up all year round. However, I do have a Christmas countdown, and tomorrow we’ll be into double digits! Can you believe it?!
Y’all, it’s officially 100 days until Christmas!
I know I was just talking about fall yesterday, but I cannot believe it’s only 100 days until Christmas! I’m giddy for the colder weather, the lights, the music (yes, I’ll be listening to holiday jingles in November, before Thanksgiving), the joy & laughter, the movies, the unity, the reason for the season, the lifted spirits, the trees and decorations, the traditions, family gatherings…I think I could seriously go on and on and on and on and on and on about what I’m excited for.
I have not yet started Christmas shopping, but I’m thinking it’ll start happening this month. I mean, there are only 100 days to get it done! And I despise the long lines and crazy masses that comes along with shopping in December, so I’d love to avoid that like the plague.
This year, Christmas is going to be a little different for me – just another new thing that comes along with my phase of life. However, instead of dreading it like I thought I would, I’m actually looking forward to it. I’m in such a good place, and I’m really going to focus in on what’s truly important this Christmas – celebrating Jesus’ birth and spending quality time with my loved ones. That’s right family, be prepared! Haha. But seriously, you’ve been warned ;). And I’m also looking forward to the upcoming Christmas season in my new home. I haven’t had a place all to myself in years, so it’s been an adjustment to say the least. However, it’s come a long way, and I’m enjoying it. I can only imagine how amazing it’ll be to truly decorate and go all out, as much as my little heart desires, with no one to say otherwise. Bliss, I tell ya!
And while I’m sort of on the topic of Jesus and the reason for the season, I’m so excited about the shereadstruth current study – Open Your Bible. Whether you’re intimidated by The Big Book, or aren’t quite sure about where to start and how to go about reading the Bible, or if you just want a little refresher and to join a community of solid women who are empowered to praise God on the daily, THIS IS FOR YOU! And the best part, you need nothing to join in on the fun (other than a computer or smart phone)! Head on over to shereadstruth and get your devotion on! You won’t regret it. **I was not compensated in any form or fashion for this plug, I just really love this plan and hope you will too!**
Happy counting down!
