It’s the last Wednesday of the month, and that means it’s time for “What’s up Wednesday” with Shay, Shaeffer, and Mel! Every month, everyone links up and answers the following questions to see what’s going on in people’s lives. It’s a check-in of sorts and something that’s fun to look back on to see what life was like month by month.

What we’re eating this week?
Let’s see… Spaghetti, sandwiches, and lots of salads! Keeping it simple over here.
What I’m reminiscing about?
This past weekend, which was absolutely glorious! Lots of uninterrupted time with Cory while being hit with non-stop rain from Hurricane Patricia. Seriously, it rained for more than 24 hours without stopping, and my rain loving heart was absolutely thrilled!
What I’m loving?
My new blogging schedule. It really is freeing and keeps me accountable way more than random posting ever did or could!
What we’ve been up to?
I moved in with Cory recently, so we’re just getting settled and enjoying spending time together, even doing the little things like laundry and grocery shopping. I’m so blessed!
What I’m dreading?
I have a few appointments coming up that I’m pretty much dreading. Even if it’s just a check-up appointment, I just don’t like them!
What I’m working on?
Consistency – in all aspects of my life from Bible study to cooking to praying to reading…you name it.
What I’m excited about?
The holidays! It’s my all-time favorite time of year: the weather is cooling down, Thanksgiving is right around the corner, followed by Christmas, time with family, bonfires, and the best TV – Christmas movies!
What I’m watching/reading?
Always watching: Grey’s Anatomy. I’m a junkie, ok?! And reading way more of my Bible lately!
What I’m listening to?
I am absolutely loving Meghan Trainor & John Legend’s “Like I’m Gonna Lose You”. *swoon*
What I’m wearing?
I’m finally able to wear scarves and light jackets and even some boots! It’s been in the 60s this week and finally feels like fall!
What I’m doing this weekend?
No big plans. It’s Halloween and everything, so you’ll probably find me vegging out in front of the TV watching Halloween movies and carving a pumpkin!
What I’m looking forward to next month?
Thanksgiving! It’s my second-favorite holiday (after Christmas, of course) and it’s one that’s homey and filled with tons of food and lots of family! I can’t wait. 🙂
What else is new?
Life has been so chaotic and deep and filled with change over the past several months, so I’m honestly enjoying a phase, no matter how small, of normalcy. Mundane days are my jam lately and I soak them up as much as possible!
And the monthly bonus question:
What’s your favorite Thanksgiving recipe?
It’s not a “recipe” per se, but my all-time favorite Thanksgiving food is FRIED TURKEY! My parents started doing this years and years ago, and there’s no turning back. It’s seriously the absolute best and much, much more delicious than baked turkey. Seriously, do yourself a favor and try it if you haven’t already!
